New Giveaway - The Hunger Games (Suzanne Collins)

With the third and final instalment of Suzanne Collins bestselling Hunger Games series titled 'Mockinjay' due out on 25th August 2010, I thought I'd take you back to where it all began. Here's your chance to win a brand new copy of the first book in the series simply titled 'The Hunger Games'. This thrilling series aimed at young adults takes the reader into the very near future and a reality TV show called the Hunger Games where teenagers must fight against each other for their own survival. Kill or be killed is the motto!!

To win a brand new copy of the first book in the series just leave a comment telling us what your favourite young adult action/adventure series is. Mine is John Marsden's Tomorrow When the War Began series and I'm really looking forward to the blockbuster movie interpretation due out soon. Entries are open until 5pm EST on Friday 2nd July. The competition is open to residents of Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA and the UK. The winner of the competition will be announced on Tuesday 6th July. Good luck to everyone!!

  1. I will admit I haven't read any YA books, so no favorites yet. I got a few recently that I plan on reading soon, though. The Hunger Games is one that I keep hearing is really good, so I'd like a chance to win this.

  2. I have read heaps of YA books .. and I have to agree with you about the John Marsden series ... they are just brilliant. I remember my kids having to read Tomorrow when the war began in high school.
I have heard a bit about The Hunter Games and would love to read it.

  5. Hmm...good question. My favorite young adult action/adventure series...not certain the ones I really like qualify under that particular subgenre but one or two that are quite enjoyable...Theater Illuminata series (that's EYES LIKE STARS and PERCHANCE TO DREAM...wicked awesome), Twilight series, and The Brain series (that's THE BRAIN FINDS A LEG and THE BRAIN FULL OF HOLES...both mystery and humor...).

I've heard many great things about this series...although I have not had plans of reading it myself, til now. ^_^ COunt me in!

  8. My all-time favorite series or trilogy is The Lord of The Rings. I'm not sure if this qualifies as young adult but it is my favorite action/adventure series. I guess young adults as well as adults can read this.

  13. I really like the YA adventure/action series, The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel. It's interesting and really good! And the newest book that came out is The Necromancer. I hope to win The Hunger Games book 1. I feel like I'm one of the few people who haven't read this amazing series that everyone talks about.
